Payroll Specialist

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

  1. For bi-weekly payroll, maintain employee payroll information regarding pay rates, hours worked, taxes withheld, medical and other insurance, 401K, HSA, and other deductions
  2. In ComputerEase software, update payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits, such as job title changes, exemptions, or savings deductions.
  3. Verify paid time off (PTO) and holiday time is entered and tracked
  4. Prepare reports for approval that includes summaries of hours, earning, and PTO/holidays
  5. Upload approved files to Deltek Payroll Service
  6. Print employee payroll checks or pay stubs, as needed
  7. Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee payroll queries
  8. Submit quarterly payroll reports for each business unit
  9. Process and issue W-2 forms to employees.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, preferred
  2. Proficiency in using payroll software, especially ComputerEase and Deltek Payroll Service
  3. Familiarity with payroll laws, regulations, and tax codes
  4. High level of accuracy and attention to detail when managing employee payroll data and calculations
  5. Strong data entry skills to efficiently update and maintain employee records
  6. Effective time management skills to ensure timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll
  7. Excellent communication skills to interact with employees, address payroll inquiries, and resolve discrepancies
  8. Understanding of payroll compliance, including tax withholding, benefits, and W-2 resolve discrepancies
  9. Ability to generate and analyze payroll reports, including hours worked, earnings, and PTO/holiday balances
  10. Strong problem-solving skills to identify and rectify payroll discrepancies
  11. Organizational abilities to manage payroll records, reports, and documentation efficiently
  12. Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive payroll information
  13. consistently meet deadlines for quarterly payroll reports and W2 form distribution
  14. Collaborative attitude and the ability to work within a team to ensure smooth payroll
  15. Alignment with the company's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
  16. Willingness to adapt to changing payroll processes and procedures, as necessary

Accounts Payable Specialist

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

  1. Ability to review, verify, and process invoices and check requests
  2. Proficiency in sorting, coding, and matching invoices
  3. Set invoices up for payment
  4. Enter and upload invoices into ComputerEase or QuickBooks
  5. Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles and experience in posting transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
  6. Ability to maintain vendor files and effectively communicate with vendors, including responding to inquiries

Requirements:

  1. Preferred associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  2. Knowledge of accounting software such as ComputerEase and QuickBooks is preferred
  3. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
  4. Strong data entry skills for entering and uploading invoices into accounting software
  5. Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles and experience in posting transactions
  6. Collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  7. High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling financial documents
  8. Strong problem-solving skills to address discrepancies in invoices and resolve issue
  9. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to correspond with vendors and internal teams
  10. Comfortable working in an office environment
  11. Willingness to relocate or to be located in Cincinnati, OH 45244 if not already residing there
  12. Ability to work a full-time schedule, typically Monday to Friday with 8-hour shifts
  13. Ability and willingness to work in-person at the office location

Landscaping Crew Leader

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

  1. Full Time or Part Time available
  2. Ability to run and perform Landscaping Projects (Landscape Cleanups and Mulch, Landscaping Installation with Plant Material, Retaining Walls, Paver Patios, Grading, Seeding, Sodding, Mortared Stone Work).
  3. Ability to manage a 2-3 person crew.
  4. Operates bobcat, mini-excavator, dingos.
  5. Ability to read and understand general Landscape Plan.
  6. Understands Grade and Instruments for measuring Grade (Laser Level, Compu Level).
  7. Ensure internal and external customers are served professionally by providing timely and responsive customer service.
  8. Interacts professionally with customers and co-workers.
  9. Complete and submit all associated paperwork as required per job duties.
  10. Other duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

  1. Must have an acceptable background check (including valid driver’s license).
  2. Must pass pre-employment drug testing.
  3. Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including sitting, standing, reaching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing).
  4. Minimum of 1-year experience of being a Crew Leader.
  5. Must be dependable, a self-starter, and able to identify and perform daily operational requirements.
  6. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and /or holidays.
  7. Ability to work in conditions with exposure to weather elements.

Truck & Equipment Mechanic / Lubetech

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

  1. Ability to work and perform all forms of mechanical duties on trucks and/or equipment
  2. Ability to read and understand wiring schematics
  3. Ability to use a computer to perform diagnostics on trucks and/or equipment
  4. Ensure internal and external customers are served professionally by providing timely and responsive customer service.
  5. Interacts professionally with customers and co-workers.
  6. Complete and submit all associated paperwork as required per job duties.
  7. Other duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

  1. Must have an acceptable background check (including valid driver’s license).
  2. Must pass pre-employment drug testing.
  3. Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including sitting, standing, reaching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing).
  4. Must have own tools and toolbox
  5. CDL preferred but not mandatory
  6. Must be dependable, a self-starter, and able to identify and perform daily operational requirements.
  7. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and /or holidays.
  8. Ability to work in conditions with exposure to weather elements.

Truck Driver

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

  1. Conducts and reports pre-trip and post-trip inspections noting and explaining defects or deficiencies to supervision
  2. Identifies need for repairs and/or maintenance to vehicles and is accountable for ensuring the maintenance or repairs are accomplished with minimum disruption to the operation
  3. Operates a variety of equipment.
  4. Safely deliver mulch, topsoil, dirt, stone, pallet products, demolition debris, and land clearing debris, to residential/ commercial customers, and operate in landfills.
  5. Inspects and performs general preventative maintenance activities, repairs, and cleaning of the truck cab. All equipment should be ready for use and in good condition at all times
  6. Ensure internal and external customers are served professionally by providing timely and responsive customer service
  7. Interacts professionally with customers and co-workers
  8. Complete and submit all associated paperwork as required per D.O.T Regulations
  9. Newer Peterbilt Fleet
  10. Other duties assigned by management

Requirements:

  1. Must have an acceptable background check
  2. Must pass pre-employment MVR Check and drug testing
  3. Must meet D.O.T. Requirements to operate a CMV
  4. Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including sitting, standing, reaching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing).
  5. Minimum of 1-year experience preferred but not required driving similar trucks.
  6. Must be dependable, a self-starter, and able to identify and perform daily operation requirements
  7. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
  8. Ability to work in conditions with exposure to weather elements

Customer Service & Sales Administrator

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

  1.  Provide customer service over the phone by taking and processing orders, providing product information, calculating the quantity of materials needed, and handling customer questions and complaints
  2.  Ability to handle/transfer incoming phones calls to the appropriate departments and/or employees
  3.  Assist in filing completed customer invoices, tax-exempt certificates, truck logs, etc.
  4.  Ability to use POS Software to look up customer information, add/edit customer data, process A/R payments, answer customer questions regarding their account
  5.  Process month-end statements
  6.  Assist managers of various departments with special tasks and run errands, as needed

Requirements:

  1.  Customer service experience and strong communication skills
  2.  Ability to work as a member of a team and collaborate to schedule deliveries and solve customer issues
  3.  Ability to provide product information, link products, and upsell
  4.  Ability to adapt, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment
  5.  Available to work extended hours in the Spring/Summer months and occasional weekends
  6.  Ability to learn new computer software
  7.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Schedule:

  1.  Day shift
  2.  Overtime required during the Spring/Summer months
  3.  Occasional weekends, as needed
