COMMUNITY OUTREACH POLICY
EVANS LANDSCAPING, INC
BACKGROUND:
Evans Landscaping Inc. (Evans) has been operating our business in the Anderson Township and Newtown area for over 30 years. Over that time period, Evans has established business operations at several locations. Each time that Evans has started an operation at a new location, it has been Evans’ practice to beautify the site and make it better looking than before Evans took over the property. In 2005, Evans received a beautification award from Anderson Township for outstanding landscape design. Evans is very proud of this recognition given by our local government.
Evans believes that it is in the best interests of our employees, neighbors, customers, suppliers, passersby, and visitors to add value to our property and make these properties places where all of our constituents would be pleased and comfortable to work, visit and do business. Evans is particular about, and takes great pride in, the appearance, orderliness, and efficiency of its business operations. We have the same attitude about the trucks and equipment that are used in our operations. These trucks are kept in very good repair, excellent operating condition, and looking very nice all of the time. We also insist on our employees being courteous and fair to everyone who comes into contact with an Evans’ employee. We expect our employees to be ambassadors for the company and make our company one with which people want to do business.
Based on our interest in continuing our mission to be a very good employer, supplier, and neighbor, we are inviting comments and questions from the public about our land, products and operations. We are therefore putting this Community Outreach Policy in place.
POLICY:
It is the policy of Evans Landscaping that all of our employees --- operators, auto drivers truck drivers, managers, supervisors, and administration people alike --- treat our neighbors, community, visitors, customers, suppliers, and fellow employees with friendliness and respect. We invite comments or questions from the public about our operations, products, or land.
PRACTICES:
Here are practices that Evans will follow:
1. Make all of our employees aware of this Policy.
2. Place signs at the entrance to our facilities suggesting the public to call us with any questions about our operations, products or land.
3. Place this Policy on the Evans’ web site.
4. Prepare a Form to be used by anyone who wishes to submit a question, concern or report an incident to Evans.
5. Respond promptly to any questions or comments called in or submitted to Evans.
6. Remind employees periodically about this Policy.
7. Review this Policy and these practices at the Evans management meetings.
SUMMARY:
We know that we can count on the community mindedness of all of our employees to understand and follow this Policy and these Practices. Evans is committed to follow through with implementation of the Policy and Practices in our business operations. The Form to be used by anyone who has a question or comment is provided below.
